Our idea about things which are not directly in touch with our live is mostly based on clichees. It is surprising how less we know and how simple we categorize the world sometimes. In fact we consume new information every day, but it turns out that there is only little we really remember and most is just lost. We usually fill these gaps of knowledge with assumptions.
In this short novel a man tells about his experience in Africa. In 7 chapters the story is re-told by several individuals. In relation to the textual information, each chapter is illustrated by different nuances of one original source image through reproduction-techniques. Reading the same story seven times might sound boring. But it is not the same story, it changes a lot and is altered by the person who tells it. It is more about his assumptions, his knowledge and his personality maybe. The reader is asking himself: What story would I tell? This question can be solved in the last chapter, only consisting of lines, which have to be filled out.
