The photo series depicts places in Karlsruhe that have witnessed a crime in recent years. Someone was murdered here. Unemotional, and in contrast to police crime scene photographs, the photos do not show any signs of the crime. The series focuses on places that are usually very busy, such as public places, town centre street corners and street crossings - but also places less frequently visited by people: a wood or the rear entrance to a factory. Hardly anyone knows anything about the events connected with the places: the politically motivated murder, personal family tragedies, a contract killing, but also events that were never, or only partially, solved.
